Rob has practiced architecture for several decades in diverse locations, including the west and east coasts of Australia and abroad. As a registered builder, he is able to continue to develop designs and improve quality during the construction phase.

Focussed on the greater Fremantle coastal/river area and regional projects in Western Australia, the Farmhaus team develop buildings and spaces that seek to fit their site like a hand in a glove. In particular, we are interested in adapting existing buildings. Carpentry and craft trades are integral to the building philosophy, with Stefan managing bespoke timber pieces and on-site details.

Farmhaus also promotes the idea of ‘hybrid Passivhaus’ design, where appropriate, combining the fundamentals of european Passivhaus sustainable design with a focus on indoor comfort, alongside the Aussie outdoors lifestyle.
